Dear Mr Cameron,
Only a new speak drone like Iain Duncan Smith would liken his system of universal punishment to William Wilberforce's mission to free people from slavery. Smith claims to, "put hope back where it has gone" and "give people from chaotic lives security through hard work".
As the man who is single handedly responsible for creating chaos in people's lives and driving people to suicide, he, and we, are the victims of his feeble imagination and ridiculous beliefs. Cutting people's income, depriving them of any means of support, does not make hard work pay. That is the kind of moronic thinking that would consider filling a well with sand to make people work harder to find water.
If hard work paid, the people of this country would be living in clover. The people of this country were the power house that drove the industrial revolution, the Victorian work ethic was nowhere more dominant than in Britain. It wasn't the people who failed to work, it was work that failed the people, latterly aided and abetted by Thatcher, who decided to silence the people's voice by brutally smashing the Unions. The Unions and only the Unions are the true representation of democracy and workers in this country.
If Smith had a single working brain cell in his head he'd be forcing work to pay, not driving people into poverty and slavery. His ludicrous, malicious, policies are enforcing poverty and literally driving people into the ground. He's not liberating people, he's killing them.
Your government doesn't support working people let alone hard working people. You have turned the work ethic into slavery, robbing people of their time and energy for as little reward as possible. Universal Credit is a feeble minded charade putting in place a horrific system of slavery through deprivation. Welfare reform is the policy of rich fools like David Freud, a Lord who thinks that poor people should take the greatest risks because they have least to lose. Freud is just another, know nothing, modern day slaver. He said, "you don't have to be the corpse to go to a funeral", meaningless garbage from a government of meaningless rich men riding roughshod over the lives of ordinary people.
